On the road

Yesterday we drove from Sevilla to Granada. Much greener and more fertile than I expected. It is a region that gets very hot in summer so may look quite different then. On the trip from Madrid to Sevilla we had passed mile upon mile of olive groves. Yesterday we continued to see some but also asparagus farms and poplar plantations (used in furniture manufacture).
Today the scenery has been spectacular on the road from Granada to Valencia. Almond trees coming into blossom and the snow covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
